Regarding the distribution: 19 hectares are planted with white grape varieties Semillon, Sauvignon Blanc, Sauvignon Gris and Muscadelle and 26 hectares are planted with red grape varieties Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Malbec.

At the Vignoble des Verdots, the work in the vines is mindful of respecting tradition and the environment to guarantee you tasty wines. You can visit our vineyard and participate in a tasting of our wines in our castle in Bergerac.

The study of soils

In 1998, David Fourtout carried out an in-depth study of soils. Thus, the work is done in perfect harmony with the terroirs of the property. Thoroughness, attention and care are the watchwords at Vignoble des Verdots to produce wines that respect customs and the land.

The reasoned fight

This method of treatment of the vine is opposed to massive chemical treatments and allows a treatment adapted to each situation in order to minimize chemical interventions to the strict minimum. Reasoned control allows viticulture that respects the environment and is economically viable for the producer.

Berry tasting

As the harvest approaches, the berries are tasted by David Fourtout and his team of oenologists. This technique allows the grapes to be harvested at their optimum maturity. The colors and aromas extracted will be faithful to the terroirs of the property and to the wines offered by the Vignoble des Verdots.
