Grand vin « Les Verdots »

Grand Vin "Les Verdots"

Our ‘Le Grand Vin des Verdots’ wines are intended for connoisseurs and epicureans. They will delight the most refined taste buds. These are cuvées that age well, and are proud representatives of an exceptional terroir. The reds can be kept for five to ten years, and the whites for up to five years. Drinking them young provides a different but equally rich tasting experience.

These cuvées are made from a fine selection of the estate’s most elegant terroirs: Issigeac limestone for the whites and gritty clay-limestone shallow soil for the reds. The alcoholic fermentation for the whites and the malolactic fermentation for the reds takes place in new oak barrels. The ageing then takes place in the estate’s cellar under the beneficial influence of the Verdots river.

Great Wine of Verdots: Côtes de Bergerac Red

This "Grand Vin" comes from our greatest terroirs. It has a mouth combining power and finesse with silky tannins and lots of volume on intense notes of red fruits and a finish with sweet roasted and spicy touches.

To fully appreciate its aromas, we recommend pairing it with a rib of beef on the bone or a roast lamb shank.

Long aging of 10 to 15 years. In its youth, decant ideally 2 hours before tasting.
